Karndean Smart Lay Shortboard is the short-format version of Karndean's 5mm Smart Lay hybrid. Shorter boards suit smaller rooms, hallways and spaces broken up by doorways and cabinetry, where very long planks would need constant cutting and end up wasteful. The slim 5mm profile keeps height change at thresholds small, which matters when laying into an existing home. The ten colours are strongly Australian: Spotted Gum, NSW Spotted Gum, Smokey Gum and Blackbutt for the native tones, Tasmanian Oak, Coastal Oak, Grey Oak and Limewash across the oak range, plus Grey Ash and Kempas. If a floor needs to match existing spotted gum or blackbutt in another room, this range offers several tones of each.
