Sunstar Rigid Core Timber is an 8.5mm hybrid with very long 1900mm boards — the longest in this hybrid selection — so large open-plan rooms show noticeably fewer end joins. It pairs that with a 0.6mm wear layer, which is at the thicker end for hybrid and is the layer that resists everyday scratching, and a 20-year residential warranty. Boards are 190mm wide with a click system, and a box covers 1.805m2. The ten colours are broad and timber-focused: Blackbutt, Spotted Gum and Jarrah for the Australian natives, Tasmanian Oak, Traditional Oak, Classic Oak and Barn Oak through the traditional range, and Aged Grey Oak, Lime Wash Oak and White Splash at the pale and cool end.
